British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came under fire from opposition MP’s, with several taking aim at his choice of language.

The Labour Party’s Paula Sherriff told Johnson that “offensive, dangerous and inflammatory language” he has repeatedly used is being repeated in death threats targeting MP’s.

Her Labour colleague Tracy Brabin mirrored her words, with both lawmakers citing Brabin’s predecessor, Jo Cox, who was killed in a politically-motivated attack prior to the 2016 Brexit referendum.

Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson also said the prime minister “was not serious” and should have the “humility to say sorry” after the Supreme Court ruled his effort to suspend Parliament as unlawful.
